James Behrens, Chief Executive Officer, was president and CEO of
Snaketech before its acquisition by Simplex Solutions. He served as executive
VP of worldwide operations with Simplex Solutions after the merger. Before
Snaketech, Mr. Behrens served as president of SIS Microelectronics, which
was acquired by Aspec Technology. For nine years Mr. Behrens held senior
management roles at Cadence and was instrumental in developing and implementing
Cadence's professional services and consulting business segment. With his
involvement the consulting business grew from start-up to more than $200
million in three years. Before that, Mr. Behrens was a director of product
and strategic marketing at Mentor Graphics Corp., where he increased PCB
layout product sales from $6 million to $50 million, increasing the company's
market share from #20 to #2 worldwide. Mr. Behrens holds two U.S. patents
and a B.S. in physical science from Colorado State University, Fort Collins,
